Atlantic Emergency Solutions Shows Support for Breast Cancer Research
|
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
January 13, 2012, Manassas, Virginia – Towing for Ta-Tas, as it is fondly referred to, made its debut at the American Towman Exposition in Baltimore. The eye-catching, pink splashed, vinyl wrapped, light-duty wrecker sold by Atlantic Emergency Solutions, a Jerr-Dan dealer, has gotten the attention of towing companies and consumers alike.
There’s no denying that the towing industry is male dominated. Danny Horton, Director of Towing and Recovery Sales for Atlantic Emergency Solutions in Manassas, VA, has found a meaningful and charitable way to include “the girls.” Towing for Ta-Tas is the company’s way of increasing awareness about breast cancer, as well as
raising money toward breast cancer research. Horton feels that most people can relate to breast cancer as so many have friends or loved ones affected by it each year. Joe Pack, President & CEO of Atlantic Emergency Solutions, didn’t hesitate when Horton proposed this idea, and eagerly embraced the opportunity to build awareness for this cause across the country. “The idea immediately became a team project at Atlantic and that we have more ideas to come.” said Mr. Horton.
At the show, the truck drew people in and they openly shared with Horton their personal stories. “I got a lot of handshakes and hugs and some tears,” he said. Most of the stories he heard were those of survivors, yet some were shared memories of special loved ones who lost their lives. Craig Goldstein, owner of Westway Towing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, purchased the truck at the show. After the show the truck returned to our graphics partners at Rock Star Wraps to have
his company name put on the truck along with the name of a close personal friend that lost her life to the disease. Mr. Goldstein has committed one dollar for every tow made by this truck to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. With the purchase, Atlantic Emergency Solutions donated $500 in Goldstein’s name to breast cancer research.
